Campbell and Seumas by St Paul's Collegiate School

St Paul's pair compete in piping competition

Congratulations to Campbell Colquhoun Year 13 (left) and Seumas Eade Year 11 (right) who competed in the Paeroa Highland Games last weekend.

Campbell began playing the bagpipes last year through the Headmaster's Bagpipe Scholarship Programme. Six students get the opportunity each year to have free lessons to learn the bagpipes. It usually takes pipers between 12 and 18 months of practice before they begin playing with the bag on - so for Campbell to participate in this competition after 12 months is quite remarkable.

Seumas, our seasoned piper won the competition (he also placed third in the world last year!)
