Medals won at athletic championships event

St Paul's athletes proudly represented the school at the regional champs bringing home several medals.

After competing so well at Zone's, St Paul's athletes were ready to take on the final round of track and field competitions at the Waikato/Bay of Plenty Secondary Schools Athletics Championships 2021 in Tauranga. Some stand out results included:

Toby Robb - 1st place in the senior javelin 

Thomas Scanlon - 1st in the intermediate 400m

Toby Robb - 2nd place in the senior shot put

Joshua Gullery - 2nd place in the senior triple jump

Toby Finlayson - 2nd in the senior 2000m steeplechase

Sitiveni Lose - 2nd place in the senior 110m hurdles

Harrison Bond - 2nd in the senior 200m 

Ben Kalma - 2nd in the intermediate javelin 

Lachie Mouat, Fred Coxhead, Owen Obaseki and Thomas Scanlon came 2nd in the 4x100m intermediate relay 

Max Gurnick - 2nd in the junior javelin

Caitlin Fladgate - 2nd in the senior high jump

Lachie Mouat - 3rd in the 100m hurdles

Reuben Lawrence - 3rd place in the senior high jump
