House Singing

This year's theme was 'places' with each song title needing to have a place name included. The judges noted that this year's standard of singing was the highest in a long time making the task of choosing a winner a tricky one. There was huge jubilation from the students of the winning house, Sargood, who fought their way up the House Singing Competition ranks from placing towards the bottom of the points table for a few years running.

You can watch this year's comp in a four-minute medley here or watch the whole competition here. The order of houses and songs are:

Williams: Budapest led by Jackson Bayes (3rd place)
School: Party in the USA led by Zac Keyte (6th equal)
Hamilton: Waka Waka This Time for Africa led by Remy Groenendijk (5th place)
Clark: Africa led by Jack Thomas (6th equal)
Hall: American Dream led by Will Mollard with Taine Moeke solo (4th place)
Sargood: April Sun in Cuba led by Freddy Cox (1st place)
Fitchett: Waterloo led by Seumas Eade (2nd place)
Best conductor awarded to Sargood House, Freddy Cox
