The St Paul's Premier team has been making great progress playing in the Premier B competition in the mid-week games played at The Peak.

Competition review - Waikato Times

Week 3: St Paul’s Premier came away with their first win this week against the University of Waikato A. The halftime score was 24 - 17 and the full-time score was 38 - 32. The game was won in the first half, with the teams going goal for goal in the second half. St Paul’s is happy with the progress the team is making from week to week. Anika Cowley at wing attack had another strong performance with her sharp footwork. It was a full team effort, with all 12 players contributing to the win. University A did show some good phases of play, winning both the second and final quarters, but they lost too much momentum in the first quarter because of a slow start.

Week 4: In the all-school match between St Paul’s Premier and Waikato Diocesan School for Girls Premier, it was a toing and froing game with each team winning two quarters each. Waikato Diocesan won the first and third quarters and St Paul’s the second and last quarters.

For St Paul’s the team was happy with their ability to pull back the deficient. Goal shoot Brianna Griffiths’s holding game and shooting were strong points and she got the turnover ball on defence. The attacking players were able to confidently feed her ball. The halftime score was 19 goals to 15 to Waikato Diocesan and they won the game 36 goals to 34.

Week 5: FTNC Premier Reserves had a reasonably convincing win over St Paul’s Premier with only the first quarter close. The halftime score was 27 goals to 19 and the full-time score was 53-33.
