Adventure racing teams lead pack

On Tuesday 10 August, four junior adventure racing teams competed in the Waikato Torpedo7 Get2Go Challenge series run by Hillary Outdoors

With teams made up of four boys and four girls from Waikato Diocesan School for Girls, the groups competed in various challenges of orienteering, mountain biking, kayaking, and stand-up paddleboarding for over six hours around Karapiro. The A-Team consisting of Kade Slade (Year 10), Sam Forward (Year 9), Sam Ferrar (Year 10), and Sam Webb (Year 10) and the Dio girls won the event, which qualifies the schools for the final.

The national competition will be held over five days at Great Barrier Island in December. Congratulations to all the adventure racing teams! We look forward to the next endeavour.
