Amazing results for Curtis Gower (Year 11) who is captain of the 2024 New Zealand Junior Polocross Team.
The team competed in a three-game test series against the Queensland Juniors in Taumarunui The NZ Juniors came out on top in all 3 games. The results were as follows:
The first test the Queenslanders led for a while with the lead changing three times. New Zealand had a draw at the end of the seventh chukka but rose to the occasion and Curtis slotted seven goals in the final chukka for them to take out the win.
The second test was very close up until the fifth chukka where New Zealand managed to get a bit of a lead and then hold onto it.
In the third test, New Zealand played well throughout and there was never any question that they weren’t going to win.
Congratulations Curtis and team.
