Year 10 art has a sleek finish

Our Year 10 art students were busy in term three, creating self portraits with a creative touch.

The class looked closely at contemporary New Zealand artist Sam Mitchell's work for inspiration. The portraits are painted on perspex, with a key challenge being that, painting in a Sam Mitchell style, the students had to navigate painting in reverse!

The final painting has a slick and glossy finish, being behind the shiny perspex face. We think they look awesome!
