Construction students start new build

Year 13 students at St Paul's have the option to take Construction as a class. It is an opportunity to work as apprentices on a real job site for one full day each week and learn from qualified builders. This year's project was officially blessed in a special morning ceremony on 27 February.

The focus of the course is predominantly building but students can also learn plumbing, electrical work and other trades if they express an interest in these areas. Once they leave school, many students continue working in the construction industry after having gained hands-on experience through this course.

This year’s class is building a cottage for staff accommodation located near Harington Boarding house. Today was the first day of build and started with a site blessing by Revd Peter Rickman. It was great to have Thomsons ITM along as sponsor and supporter of this project.
