Rico competes on the world stage
Rico D’Anvers (Year 13) competed in the BMX Elite World Championships with 70 Junior Elite Men all after the same goal... world number one ranking.
Rico qualified for the quarterfinals with two first placings and a third placing in his motos, which saw him then qualify for the semi-finals. However, his race day ended when he was pushed off the track by another rider.
The racing was exciting, fast, challenging and brutal at times. Rico was extremely proud to represent the colours of his country at the highest level, doing his country, family and school proud on and off the track.
