Sporting Caps awarded

Congratulations to the following students who have been awarded sporting caps for their dedication to sport:

George McNeil:

  • George McNeil (Year 13) has been a member of the First XI Boys' Hockey team since 2021 and has played most of the games over the last two seasons, gaining 50 caps for the team. He helps to organise the defence and plays with great courage by attacking the ball and denying it to the opposition. George supports other team members in defensive tasks and ensures they work well together. He is a dependable defender and can calmly secure and retain the ball even under tremendous pressure. His ability to find midfielders and attackers on the ball helps create numerous game-attacking chances. George has moved positions several times over the last two years and has quickly adapted to the change in requirements of each role. His eagerness to improve and develop has made him an integral part of the First XI Boys' Hockey team.

Joel Marsh:

  • In his second season as a First XI Football team member, Joel Marsh (Year 13) has developed into an important figure within the team. He has proven to be the rock in his attitude and effort on and off the field. He was the captain in name and attitude. In league, tournament, and cup competitions, Joel has represented the school 50 times, scoring seven goals and stopping countless more. Extremely competitive, he always plays with energy and aggression. He leads through his actions, with no one working harder in a game. Joel sets a wonderful example for his teammates. It is a pleasure to issue him his honours cap for service to football.
