On Wednesday 19 June five riders, Jackson Dwyer, Oliver Galpin, Isaac Reay, Toby Finlayson and Oliver Larcombe, competed in the Waikato Bay Of Plenty Schools Cycling Champs at Paterangi.
In fine conditions, they all raced well and showed a competitive spirit. Each took away valuable lessons regarding pacing and mechanical preparations. The day will serve as a needed tune-up before the intense North Island Championships in a few weeks beside Lake Karapiro.
