Bringing home cycling medals

Thomas Purdie and Oliver Fleming bring home haul of medals from the Waikato/Bay of Plenty Centre Road Cycling Championships

The first event, held on Saturday in Leamington, was the individual time trial. Thomas and Oliver competed in the U15 age group in a 15km race with excellent results.

Oliver finished 2nd in a time of 27 minutes 41 seconds
Thomas finished 3rd in a time of 29 minutes 48 seconds.

The 32km road race was held on the Sunday in Tokoroa and again these student gained podium finishes.

Thomas finished 2nd in a time of 1 hour 5 minutes and 33 seconds
Oliver finished 3rd in a time of 1 hour 8 minutes and 53 seconds

An excellent weekend of racing, well done Thomas and Oliver.
