Saniya Kansal accepted for Astronomy School
Saniya has been accepted into the Elaine P Snowden Astronomy School programme that will operate from 18-23 April 2021 at the University of Canterbury, and at the UC Mt John Observatory in Tekapo.
The programme includes a mix of lectures, practical work, and social activities. On campus in Christchurch, discussions will be held about the universe past, present, and future, the life cycles of stars, planet exploration, extraterrestrial life, and more. At the Mt John Observatory, attendees will explore our cosmic neighbourhood using modern astronomical instruments. In 2021, 172 applications were received for the limited 20 places available.
