Sporting caps awarded

Congratulations to the following students who have been awarded their sporting caps for representing their respective top team for 50 or more games:

Milan Hood:

  • Milan Hood (Year 13) has been a member of the First XI Boys' hockey since Year 11 and has recently gained 50 caps in the team. He plays in the mid but travels all over the field, attacking and defending where needed. Milan plays with flare and often creates scoring opportunities with his stick skills. Milan is a committed player who always puts in the hard yards on the field and always tries his best. He has been a valuable addition to the team and has grown in strength and skills over the last three seasons. This year, Milan has used his unwavering passion for hockey in the role of co-vice-captain of the First XI. Milan has represented North Harbour in the U13's, North Harbour U15's Development, and the U18 Men's B team.

Ashleigh Mayall

  • Ashleigh Mayall (Year 13) has been a member of the First Girls' Lacrosse team since Year 12 where she has played every single game throughout the two seasons. She has great midfielder skills, making sure that on attack she sets up to score the goals for the team. Ashleigh also trialled and was selected to play and represent the Waikato in the U18's Waikato Lacrosse Team in 2021 and 2022. In addition, Ashleigh was also selected to play in the New Zealand U18 Women's Lacrosse Team and competed in an international tournament in Australia. Ashleigh captains the St Paul's Girls' Lacrosse team and has led the girls to win back-to-back games for the entire season. Ashleigh is a dedicated Lacrosse player and consistently steps in to coach and share the skill set that she possesses with the "newer" players that join the team. Ashleigh is deserving of a cap for her consistent effort in Lacrosse.
