NZCT Chamber Music Concert
On Wednesday 5 June, three Chambor Choir groups from St Paul's Collegiate School attended the NZCT Chamber Music Contest at the The University of Waikato.
Sam Kansal, Sangjoon Lee, Liam Stiles and Rina Zhao made up The Trumpet Quartet and performed 'Three Herioc Maches' and 'Summer Samba.' The quartet has excellent feedback regarding their song choices and great uses of rhythm.
The St Paul's Brass Quintet, made up of Sam Kansal, Sangjoon Lee, Austen Plimmer, Anu Manda, and Brooklyn Snelgrove, was presented with the prestigious 'High Commended' award. They played 'Five Towns' and their 'great stage presence' helped the excellent performance succeed.
Band members Martina Zhang, Olivia Zhao and Daniel Zhao performed 'Suite Opus 1576'.
Kelly Leung also participated in her chamber group, where she played the piano and won the Waikato district competition.
Congratulations everyone!
