Welcome to Term 4

Suzi de Gouveia —

As we begin this final term of the year I wish you all a term of happiness and peace.

I had the privilege of travelling to South Africa to visit my mother-in-law during the school break.  It was wonderful to see family and friends I have not seen for many years, some for as much as 30! I am sure many of you understand the conflict of the heart ache of leaving family and friends behind and the joy of being able to live in New Zealand.  Diggs and I are happy to be home now.

This term is going to be another very busy one, beginning with our Cultural Festival on 4 November.  Please make sure you have this date in your diaries.  Every child in our school will be performing so will therefore be expected to attend.  They are all working very hard on learning their dances for their performances.  The senior students will be running their stalls, selling food and goods.  It promises to be a wonderful evening.

Our Year 0 to 6 children will be swimming again in Week 4, 7 - 10 November.  We will be very grateful for any assistance in walking the children to and from Wharenui Pool and of course, in the changing of our children, particularly our little ones.

This term is our Year 8 students final term at St. Teresa's School.  I trust they will have the best term ever!!  Our annual camp for years 5 - 8 students is in Week 8, 5 - 7 December.  A reminder that payment of $220.00 is required preferably by internet banking to our school account 12-3147-0405188-00. Please reference the payment 'camp' and your child's first name. If all camp payments could be made by the end of November that would be wonderful.  If you have any issues in this area, please contact Jess in the office.

Wishing you all a wonderfully happy term.
