Welcome to St Thomas More School

As the new Principal of St. Thomas More Catholic School, I am delighted that our school has already established an excellent reputation for providing quality, Catholic education at Mt.Maunganui, for the families located at the Mount and along the Papamoa coastal strip.

Something everyone notices when they visit the school for the first time: the lovely family feeling in the school, the happy children who are focused on learning and the small class sizes - which support wellbeing and achievement.

The size of our school means we can provide high quality, personalised learning that leverages the many opportunities available within our community, parish and wider Catholic school network (Community of learning/Kahui Ako ) which includes Aquinas College, John Paul College, Suzanne Aubert Papamoa, St Mary's Tauranga, Putaruru and Rotorua.

We are fortunate to have facilities like Baywave Aquatic Centre and Arataki Park on our doorstep. Our school buildings are connected to our church and this gives us the opportunity to be involved in many aspects of parish life.
