Kia ora koutou, I'm Paul Cooney.
Paul Cooney has been involved with the board since the middle of 2020.
Kia ora Koutou,
I'm delighted to be re-elected as the presiding member (chair) of the School board. It is a privilege to serve our school and wonderful community. I'm passionate about sharing my experience working with my fellow board members, enhancing the School's unique qualities and ensuring a positive and rewarding environment for all.
I am a global specialist in digital transformation and bring over 25 years of executive leadership, governance and international business experience.
I have my own digital technology consulting firm and am a Chartered Accountant and long-standing company director.
I'm happily married to Sharon and we have four lovely children, Lily, Grace, George and Pearl. We returned to New Zealand in 2019 after many years in London and all love the beach, weather and sporting lifestyle on offer in the Mount. My wife Sharon is working at Te Puke Primary and loves her job. We have one daughter at Uni and the three younger kids are at Mount College.
There are many special things about St Thomas More which bring me back - the Catholic faith, the small family feel of the school, the wonderful people and the opportunity to give back to our community.
Thank you for giving me the opportunity to be part of the school board for another three years.
