Fr Matt has been to visit our students over the last three weeks to introduce himself- he has just moved to the Mount from the Cathedral in Hamilton.

Fr Matt was brought up in Bay of Plenty and Waikato and he became a priest just over three years ago. He is very sporty- he loves surfing, cycling and swimming- and he makes sure that he takes time out to enjoy the wonderful sporting opportunities in the Bay. Fr Matt is keen to start a youth group in the parish and we have been discussing how to connect our young people with the church - especially difficult in these COVID times.
