Transport
STM School - February 12, 2023
Cycling
Children may ride their bikes to school once you feel they are able to ride safely on the road. They need continual reminders of the road rules and their bikes need to be road worthy. The Ministry of Transport prefers children to be 10 years of age or over before they ride to and from school.
Children can ride their bikes to the Gloucester Road entrance and then walk their bikes to the bike racks, where they will need be locked/secured.
It is a legal requirement that helmets must be worn to and from school.
Buses
We used to have a bus that was for the use of STM children exclusively but the Ministry of Education have withdrawn this service. Instead the Route 2B bus (to the Boulevard) goes past the Physio on Grenada Street at 3.02 p.m. each day and one of our staff will walk children across the reserve to catch the bus - just ring and let us know so we can arrange this. The children travel for free with the Bee card.
