Thank you to everyone who is coming on Sunday.
The school board and the PTFA are holding a working bee this Sunday,18th June from 11-2.00 p.m. (P.S. If it rains too hard we'll send out a message on facebook before 11.00 a.m.)
Over the term our front gardens have become over grown and they need weeding. We have some new plants to dig in to freshen up the entranceway.
The seating in front of Paua is fading so that needs staining again to bring it back to its red kwila colour.
The deck and steps on the front and back of the admin block need painting.
We've got roundup people and weedeater people coming - the weeds growing around the school buildings are calling out your name.
There are lots of panes of glass in all the foldaway doors and windows - are you good with a hose and some 'wet and forget'? Yes there are volunteers for this job!
The sandpit needs new sand - it will need someone with a trailer and friends who can fill wheelbarrows and move the sand to the right place. This might be a job for next time.
We have a list of all sorts of jobs that need doing. If you can spare a couple of hours on the 18th then we will get things done.
P.S. we don't have a caretaker because we would rather put money into teacher aides - that's why the exterior of the school is looking a bit sad and unloved. Thank you to the volunteers who have replied to Jane already.
The more, the merrier.
Your forte might be cooking sausages or making scones? Maybe you enjoy feeding people? This is a very special skill we will need on the Sunday.
