Have you ever dreamed about having free electricity?

Kath Joblin —

Watching TV sitting comfortably on the sofa with the heater on not even having to lose a penny? My name is Anika. Here is why your family should use solar electricity.

I mention solar panels and you think BORING blue glass boxes on the roof of houses. You would be wrong! They are a fantastic invention that you need to know about! Would you like to live with no electricity? No YouTube, No WiFi, No Xbox! Here are 3 reasons why you need Solar Energy at your home.

The sun will always be in the sky for billions of years so solar energy will power the world in the future. Fun Fact: the sun will be in the sky but it will burn out when your twelfth great grandchild leaves high school. If you didn’t know solar energy uses the sun’s energy and it turns into electricity.

There are two types of solar panels that work differently on a rainy day: the lithium-ion type can store the sun's energy and the lead-acid can get tiny rays of light even on a rainy day.

Solar electricity is the cheapest form of electricity in the world

For a normal electric spending Kiwi the bills are about 2360 dollars a year and 196 a month but for 10-11 solar panels the amount is almost $9000 you might think that's a big difference but you will get back your money five years later and solar panels will last to 25-30 years!

Fossil fuel is running out!

If you didn’t know what fossil fuel is, it's another form of electricity called petrol or diesel which was made a thousand years ago by the remains of dead animals and trees. Scientists say it will run out in 60 years! We won’t be able to heat our house or use cars when we’re 70. Just the United States alone gets 80% of its total electricity from fossil fuel. It will be terrible! So the next best and cleanest and most environmentally friendly option in the world is solar electricity.

Now that you understand. I recommend that you encourage your parents to install solar panels. If you're wondering where to get them, a few solar shops in New Zealand are Hitek solar power NZ and Skysolar Bay of Plenty but I recommend getting them online from China since the best ones are from China.

So in conclusion here are my three reasons:

Reason one: The sun is always in the sky so energy is always available.

Reason two: Solar energy is the cheapest form of electricity. Reason three fossil fuel is running out.

I am sure I have convinced you to go and encourage your families to get solar panels. Think about all that free power! And trust me you don’t want to live without power. I want to see solar panels on the roof of your house

Thank you
