The fabulous fashion show- featuring recycled materials.
On Friday so many parents and grandparents packed the gathering space to celebrate with our children.
The focus was recycling and the challenge was to create a fashion item from materials at home and to bring them to school as part of the fashion parade.
So many amazing costumes were created it was very hard for the judges (Jane and Cath R) to choose the best three of all.
At the end of the day recycling was the most important factor in choosing the best costumes - the three chosen were Harmony (emerging wearable arts designer), Nathan (Most creative) and Pasali (Best dressed) - and their creations were crafted by the students from recycled materials.
The judges said it was really difficult to choose just three from all the excellent entries. Certificates were given out at assembly for the fantastic entries from each year level.
It is wonderful to see how much parents got involved too with collecting bits and pieces as well as giving design advice.
We deliberately chose to run this competition over the holiday period so that there was time to collect recycling and to be creative.
Thank you MUMS and DADS for your support for this event.
