Who is Justin Rogers? He is the tutor behind our very successful kapa haka and te reo on line learning.

Justin is an actor and a great teacher. He had the kids in the palm of his hand - lots of humour and positivity.

Justin had the roles of Ernesto de la Cruz in Coco reo Maori and Timon in The Lion King reo Maori. He is working on another Disney film at the moment as well as appearing at Baycourt in a play this week called Dirty Work. It's a comedy which has a choir on stage every night but none of them have read the script. The choir take roles in the office and as the night progresses they are given their lines to deliver in a crazy fun way.

Justin came to school to share his waiata and to listen to what our students have been learning through his online tutoring. Each class spends at least 20 minutes a day practising songs, actions and pronunciation with Justin and his friend. We are making great progress in supporting all our children to learn te reo and to be aware of te ao Maori.
