The Pot luck dinner was a great success.
Lots of families came along and shared fun, conversation, great food and laughter.
Thank you to the PTFA for organizing a brilliant social event. The comments from Mums and Dads were: it was great to try food from other cultures; I got to meet my children friends and their families for the first time; I've only been in New Zealand for a very short time and it's wonderful to see everyone so relaxed and enjoying being part of the school community.
We are planning a Matariki dinner in Term 2 (22 June) so please pop the date in your diaries. It will be a chance to come along and watch our children performing their kapa haka items; there will be an art display from every class and dinner will be provided (soups created with the vegetables from our school gardens).
The 22 June is also our patron saint's day: St Thomas More.
