I feel very privileged to be elected to the presiding member position on the school board (the old name for the board chair) of St Thomas More Catholic School.

I realise how important this position is to our school community and everyone who works for the good of our children. Thank you Paul Cooney for your service to our school on the board and in the position of chair since June 2020. You've brought  a positive and forward thinking approach to every situation and our school has benefited from your leadership in this position.

I'd like to welcome Theresa Surgenor to our board. Theresa has been appointed, by Fr Richard, as a Proprietor's representative on our board. Natalie Smyth has stepped down from the proprietor's representative position after three years in which our school has gone from strength to strength, particularly in building relationships between school and parish. 

We will be holding an election for the vacancy on the school board in the next month. Jane will be mailing out nominations forms very soon.
