Introducing Fiona.

Kath Joblin —

Fiona Webb-Johnston is our newest school board member. We are really fortunate to have a person with so much life experience prepared to step up into governance of our school - helping lead where we are going and why.

Fiona Webb-Johnston, a little bit about me.

Born in Wellington, I then grew up in the Bay of Islands and moved to Auckland where I gained my Degree and started my career. My background is in Interior Design, but my main vocation has been immersed in a niche Lighting industry, which I am now working in again after owning an online Fashion Boutique for several years in Dubai.

My husband Allan and I moved to the Middle East in 2008 where we spent almost 13 years and were lucky enough to travel to more than 27 countries. Both of our children, Luca and Zara, were born in Dubai and this is also where their school journey started at the age of 3.

It has been an interesting and challenging transition back into life in New Zealand over the past 2 years, and where we decided to call Mount Maunganui home. We wanted our kids to grow up as Kiwi kids, so we are really enjoying living a minute from the beach and are finding our tribe here which has been made easier with the families we’ve met through St Thomas More School.

Schooling in New Zealand and the UAE we’ve discovered is worlds apart, just like the countries we lived it, so it’s taken a lot to comprehend the NZ Curriculum. I feel grateful to now be part of the school board of St Thomas More and look forward to the contribution and progression I hope to experience on this new journey for our school and kids.
