Suzanne Aubert Catholic School is opening on the 3rd February, 2021.

Kath Joblin —

And for the twenty five STM students who live in Papamoa East this will be such a blessing. Thank you for travelling so far every day to be part of our school community. We really appreciate your commitment and continued support for catholic education here in the Bay.

It's with sad hearts that we say goodbye to you but we know that you are going to have a great school experience with Mr Mills and his team. While we have been practising for our final school Mass and concert it has been hard not to tear up when we have been singing the Irish blessing to our Year 6 graduates knowing that twenty five of our Year 1-5 children will be going too.

I know from the conversations we have had with parents over the last few weeks that it has been a hard decision for many families to leave our brilliant little school. However we fully understand how much it will mean being able to bike to school, to walk with friends, to be able to play with school friends in the immediate neighbourhood. As Mrs James has said, starting a new school is all about building a new community- and that's what SACS is all about.

On 11th February, 2001, Bishop Denis officially opened St.Thomas More Catholic School with three teachers/teaching principal and 75 students from Year 1-8. Liam Robson and Theresa Erskine-Shaw were in this pioneering group. Next year we will be celebrating our 20th anniversary.

SACS parents, teacher and students- you will be making history - to engage, inspire and empower through Christ.

We will be there with you on opening day to tautoko and celebrate a new beginning for the Papamoa Catholic community.
