In the recent BOT (Board of Trustees) election two new faces were added to the team. I'd like to introduce Paul Cooney to you all.

Kia ora, my name is Paul Cooney.I am delighted to join our school's Board of Trustees. My family and I recently returned from London, and I'm keen to contribute to the local community and use my broad business experience helping St Thomas More grow and prosper. In particular, focusing on strategic planning and governance and working alongside the other board members to create a positive and rewarding environment for everyone associated with our school. I'm Pearl's Dad. Pearl is in year 6 Paua. You may also know Sharon, my wife, who is on a placement at the school, retraining as a primary school teacher. Sharon and I have three older children at the local schools in the Mount
I am the founder and CEO of a London/NZ based consulting firm specializing in advising and deploying digital business and finance applications globally. I have over 25 years of senior leadership, technology and international business experience and have been a company director for more than 20 years.

I have had responsibility for complex business transformation programmes in more than 60 countries around the world and have lived and worked in many cities including Hong Kong, Tokyo, Berlin, New York and London.

I'm a NZ Chartered Accountant and a 20-year member of the Institute of Directors UK. I'm originally from a farm in a very small community in the deep South and love the unique lifestyle offered here in the Mount.

I look forward to meeting with you over the coming weeks and months.
