Everyone will need to have a sports shirt as well as their usual uniform.
Here are the pictures of our new sports shirt. Girls and boys will wear the same shirt. Everyone will have one to wear at athletics practices, sports coaching sessions like Funky fun day, cricket smash, basketball clinics, cross country practices, class fitness training.
We have specialist sports uniforms for the basketball teams and the netball teams.
The ones in the picture are for everyone (whether you are in a sports team or not).
The beauty of a sports shirt is that the seniors can freshen up after a sports session and change back to their original shirts (you know, those times when deodorant is a necessity) and the little ones can wear their sports shirt when they are having sessions with coaches which has happened three times in the last 6 weeks.
If you run out of uniform because everything is in the wash, having a sports shirt will mean you have one more option and you can wear that to school.
The only time you won't be wearing your sports shirt is when we go to church on Friday mornings.
More details on cost etc will be in the next newsletter . We are also planning to source soft stretchy shorts which both boys and girls can wear. If you are a Year 6 student next year you won't have to buy a sports short for the year - we have enough old sports shirts left over that we can give you one just for next year.
