Congratulations to our all-conquering 1st XI Football team who beat Burnside HS 2-1 in the final on Wednesday night. A fantastic result and an historic and proud moment for our College. Richard Washington, Jacob Allen and Blair Scadden have worked extremely hard this year to ensure a group of skillful individuals became a quality, high performing team. Well done to all players, coaches, managers and whanau who should take pride in the efforts of these young men.

Next week sees our premier teams competing in National Tournaments all around the country. We wish all the best to our 1st XIII Rugby League, 1st XI Football and both our Junior and Senior 1st V Basketball squads who all take on the best schools in the country.

The end of Term 3 is a busy one with academic success at the forefront of everyone’s mind. It is important that our young men remember that the Nationals are hugely important, however, one eye must remain on their academic progress. So we ask all parents to remind their sons of the balance they must find between competing at the highest level in sport, while also striving for academic excellence.
