William Pike - Community Service Day

Blair Scadden —

On Tuesday 27th September the Year 9 cohort will be travelling to Springfield for a tree planting day. We have been able to assist the Te Ara Kakariki Trust with one of their fantastic regeneration projects. This event will help the boys achieve the 'community service' aspect of the William Pike Challenge.

The boys will be transported by bus to and from the site and will be looked after by both their PE teachers and volunteers from Te Ara Kakariki.

Equipment for planting will be provided, the boys need to ensure they have suitable footwear and clothing for the day. They will also need to have a packed lunch and fluids for the day. The boys will be planting between 10am and 2pm.

The bus will leave school at 9am and return at approximately 2.50pm. The cost for the day is $10 to cover transportation. Payment can be made to Jackie by all the normal methods quoting 'Springfield'.
