With March the 23rd being the big day, a little over a week away, the big shave for Shave for a Cure is almost upon us. Check out last year's effort in the video above!

As a school, we have once again banded together to participate in this annual event to raise funds for Leukaemia and Blood Cancer New Zealand. Leukaemia and Blood Cancer is a serious issue here in New Zealand, with an average of 6 people being diagnosed each and every day. While that's a startling statistic, it just emphasises why Leukaemia and Blood Cancer New Zealand is so important. They provide a wide array of support to those who are diagnosed and are an important source of funding for research into blood cancer, with the goal of developing better treatments.
This year we have had an incredible amount of participation from throughout the school, with a whopping 56 students signed up ready to shave their heads for this cause. Together we have currently raised an amazing amount of over $16,500 in donations, and we are looking to match last year's massive total of $19,000. We'd really appreciate any help in order to achieve this and to give back to this great cause.
