YUTA Matsuo

Finally I've finished in 3rd in the 100m final at New Zealand Nationals. I thought I could have won the title of the fastest man in New Zealand this time but it was not that easy but I am really glad and honoured that I took part of that. I did what I all could do at that time so I am happy with the result.

Thank you to everyone who supported me!

Our athletes started the ball rolling earlier in the year at the Canterbury Champs with Yuta Matsuo winning the senior 100m Title and Cormack Tarrant taking the title for the U14 200m and Louis Andrews winning the Junior 400m Final. Yuta and Louis then represented their school at the South Island Secondary Champs in Nelson. Results here were: Yuta Matsuo won the senior boys 100m final with a time of 10.98 – fastest man in the South Island. 100% of STC passion!!

Louis Andrews came in 3rd in the final of the 400m in a time of 54.01 an outstanding effort well done Louis!
