Late in February, a couple of year 13s and year 12s grouped together to create a lunchtime concert.  Among the performers were Josh Tait on guitar and voice, Josh Heslop on drums, and Paddy Hansen on keys. 

Crowds gathered in the Mount Sion courtyard to hear some Ed Sheeran, improv blues and even some AC-DC once Mr. Kennedy got his hands on the guitar. The group hopes to make this a running tradition in the school, where we can show off all the musical talent we have at the college. None of it would have happened without the skills and dedication of three year twelves – Dominic Anisy, Sean Willetts and Anaru Shadbolt. 

We are incredibly thankful for the help and support of Mr. Murphy and Mr. Kennedy, and everyone who came out to listen. If you’re a student at STC who has some musical skills that you wish to celebrate, feel free to put your name forward to perform at lunchtime. There’ll be another performance in a few week’s time – watch this space!
