Polynesian Pride & Power on display!

Congratulations to Seth Tauamiti and Jordan Leigh (Both year 13) who recently represented the NZ Maori 18's Rugby League team and both named in the Pasifika Youth Cup 2017 Tournament team. Seth was named as Forward of the Tournament and Jordan was named Player of the Tournament. 

Both young men were integral members of the successful NZ Maori 18's who won the tournament beating the Tongan 18's in the final. Well done Seth and Jordan on these outstanding achievements.

The Pasifika Youth Cup tournament (Under-16 and Under-18 teams) was played in Auckland featuring Rugby League Samoa -Toa Samoa, New Zealand Maori, Mate Maa Tonga (Hakula Tonga), Fiji Bati NZ, Cook Islands and Auckland Niue Rugby League.

It was hosted by the New Zealand Maori Rugby League in association with the Vodafone Warriors, with the participating teams forming a competition panel. Polynesian Pride & Power was on display!

Other STC boys involved in the National Tournament representing their Polynesian heritage in the Pasifika Youth Cup 2017 were Patrick Elia (Samoa), Domanyc Fidow-Kele (Samoa), Seth Taumiti (NZ Maoris) and Malyche Tafili (Samoa).
