"At St Thomas of Canterbury College our Health Education programme has been designed to align with the New Zealand Curriculum (2007) and connect to the college special charter, vision and mission. Delivering an inclusive programme that is driven by educating hearts and educating minds. The health program encompasses everything that is the St Thomas brotherhood.

Health Education at St Thomas of Canterbury College empowers students with the tools to enhance their own hauora/well-being as they encounter Christ and navigate their adolescence. Catholic perspectives and teachings are strongly acknowledged as aspects of social justice and human dignity are explored.

Health Education is delivered through Kinesiology (Y 7-9)and Rite Journey and Science (Y10) programmes at a junior level. Hauoratanga, Science and Religious Education in year 11,12 and 13 deliver the health programme in a holistic agile approach that incorporates the local curriculum. Designed to set students up for life outside of school. "
