The team was feeling good about themselves as 2018 had brought lots of new talent into the team. We started off strong in our first game against ST Andrews College with a 2-0 win. After this game everyone was pumped and ready for the rest of the season. We made it as far as the semifinals before we lost on penalties, it was a rough way to go, especially as we played the better football than they did in that match. But we had to hold our heads high as we still had another game the next week for 3rd and 4th placing. During that game everyone was still recovering from the loss the week before. Even though we had many chances to score and great chances were created it wasn’t enough because the team lost 5-2. We were annoyed but happy as we felt that we played greater football compared to the other teams this season.

After the league ended we went down to ST Kevin's College for a school exchange. Our team was hoping for a good match as the ride was four hours long, the 1st 11 watched our match and gave us lots of support. The match wasn’t bad as we won 12-1 it wasn’t a big enough challenge for us. However, it was a challenge for those few who got to play in the 1st 11 as it was against much bigger lads. I think that being able to play for the 1st team as a junior is cool because it shows that there are spots open, even if you’re a junior. The first team won that game 8-0 with a great performance and last game for two 1st 11 players. (Treye Butler, Fyn Claude.)

Overall, we came 4th in the season and that was impressive as majority of our team was year nine. It was a challenging but awesome season with ups and downs and there is still a lot of young talent that will be moving up into this team in the future and maybe into the 1st team.
