MADK enjoyed a wonderful year together with plenty of banter, food, sport and more banter. There were a few additions to the MADK whānau with Carsten, Calix and Bishop joining the crew at the start of the year.

There were many highlights of the year which included our successful “100 sec hang challenge” at the school fair, our annual MADK 3x3 Basketball competition and the big school events of swimming, athletics, and Special Character week.

The main goal of this year was develop a real brotherhood amongst our whānau. After a year that proved to be a handful with the advancement of covid-19 and unexpected passing of STC’s well-respected and loved teacher Brad Milne, this message couldn’t be any more important. I felt the boys truly actioned this messaged and really understood what it meant to have “each other’s back”…..and this made me super proud!

We say fond farewells to DJ Ben (Ben Wright), Finny (Finn Jenkins) and Tom (Thomas Shepard) and wish them all the best for their futures.
