Junior Football Under 14 Report

This year was a blessed year for the boys winning all games played. We started the year with two teams, one in each Division. Due to a series of unfortunate events and a mix-up with names we ended up with one team playing in Division 2 by our third game. After a few games and bad weather, postponing a couple of games made it hard to switch back to Division 1.

The boys took things in stride and focused on building a better team and encouraging the younger players to become more active and adventurous. The slower pace of the games also allowed our senior players to work on their leadership and enjoy the games with less pressure. This great sportsmanship demonstrated by all players highlights key values of STC men. They should all be proud of what they have achieved this year.

All in all, the boys took a lot out this season and the upcoming younger players who will be filling the shoes of the senior players leaving the team seem ready and capable to face the division one teams of next year.

A look back at the forces at play

Guarding the pearly white gates and allowing only the worthy goals through was the one and only Levani Rova

Delta Force Daggers holding the defensive line: Quinn Bartel, Max Smail, Scott Harrison, Jake Charlton and Risias Mutonhori

Midfield Marauders causing mayhem for the opposition and robbing them of any possession: Declan, Isiah Ong, Luke Mangels, Olliver Darby and Cameron Brewitt.

The frontline Machinery with their tactical precision and execution: Billy Roche, Omar Ali, Jackson Clark, William Andrews, Caleb Steward and Dylan Bargh

Thank you for the good times, the goals scored, the respect shared and the sporting spirit.
