It has been a short week due to our Queen’s birthday and our teacher only day. We spent the day on Tuesday as staff working together on creating resources to further engage our students as well as upskilling our appraisal process by using the Arinui tool, which will further strengthen the ability of our staff to reflect on their practice.

It has been fantastic to spend time this week in and around our classrooms observing lots of wonderful work that is occurring in our classrooms. I have been very impressed with high levels of engagement I have seen, as well as high quality work being produced by our students.

This week we gathered a large amount of student voice as part of our on-going review. What has been very pleasing is to find our two strategic goals coming through strongly in particular the work around individualised and challenging work for each individual student. This is an aspirational goal as it is not an easy task for our staff to engage wide and varied strengths of our students.

The latest in industrial action is attached to this newsletter. I would like to highlight that the rostered strike action for Year 10’s has been cancelled - to confirm ALL YEAR 10 STUDENTS are expected at school on Tuesday. I would like to thank you for your support over this time.
