NEW GYM - An Apollo Project - get jealous ... get active ... and opening in 2017

If we are to believe that “College students who visit their college gyms are more likely to succeed in the classroom and that going to the gym is so much more than going to the gym. Students who are motivated by fitness and wellness tend to have better time management skills.” St Thomas of Canterbury College has positioned itself nicely in all aspects of student learning and development now and into the future.

In recent time, it was identified that the college needed a new Gymnasium/Fitness Centre, Senior Management, Boards and staff researched, met, discussed, identified needs and finally formulated a plan that saw Apollo Projects (The Contractor) and Ikon (The Architect) commenced construction in May this year and completed the build in the first week of December. A month early and within budget. Great credit to the parties involved.

As can be seen from the video it is a facility that all can be extremely proud of. A real opportunity for our students and staff to be teaching and learning in a facility that is of the highest quality.

As a college facility, it has been designed and built first and foremost for our students, but as can be imagined it has attracted attention from the community to be used and accessed outside of college requirements.
