ESOL SKIING - "I will always remember this day at Mt. Hutt that I gained experience at skiing."

Ski Trip - ESOL 2016

An important experience I remember was when we went to Mt. Hutt with my ESOL class to go skiing.

Firstly, we arrived to school at 6:15am and we waited in front of the library for others to come before we got in the white van. When everybody was there we drove to Methven for almost one and a half hour to catch a bus going to Mt. Hutt.

After another one and a half hours of journey to Methven. We waited for the bus for about 20 minutes and rode to Mt. Hutt. After 30 minutes of bus ride. We arrived at Mt. Hutt ski centre and collected our gear such as shoes, jacket, pants, gloves, goggles, and skis.

After we collected our gear, we went to the ski area to have a ski lesson. It was quite hard for the first time, but it was fun and enjoyable. After our ski lessons we had a time on our own to go skiing. We rode a magic carpet and skied on the slope.

Finally, after of almost five hours of skiing we went back to inside of the Mt. Hutt ski centre building to give back the gear we borrowed. We waited in the shop for the others to arrive. When we are complete we packed our things and go outside to wait for the bus going back to Methven.

This was important to me because this was the time that I learned skiing. I will always remember this day at Mt. Hutt that I gained experience at skiing.
