Applications due next Monday 5th March

Applications are open for the Elaine P. Snowden Astronomy School. The College of Science and the School of Physical and Chemical Sciences at UC are offering Year 13 (and some Year 12) students throughout New Zealand the chance to attend a 5-day astronomy camp in Christchurch and Tekapo. Students attending the camp meet other like-minded people who share their passion for astronomy and astrophysics. The school includes astronomy classes, workshops, and seeing the largest optical telescope in New Zealand.Open to just 20 students each year, the annual Elaine P. Snowden Astronomy School camp is an inspiring experience for successful applicants. This year, the camp will take place 16-20 April at UC's Ilam campus in Christchurch and the Mount John University Observatory in Tekapo. There is no charge for the camp – even travel costs are covered by the generous sponsor.
