Hunter Adam - Basketball - NZ U16 squad

Hunter's success' in basketball have been outstanding in his first two years of playing basketball. Hunter started playing basketball last year in Yr 8 for STC before he was selected for the Mainland Eagles Academy that same year. During Yr 9, Hunter was selected in the U15A Canterbury team for Nationals. During those nationals, Hunter was selected to the All-Star 5 which is the best 5 players at that tournament.

For school, Hunter was selected in the STC Yr 9/10 tournament team to go to the South Island tournament. Hunter again was a big help in securing STC their first premier grade South Island title in school history!!!!

He was then called into the NZ U16 squad for the last camp, performed really well and saw himself being selected as the only bottom age players in the U16s. He has just completed this tournament and has helped NZ qualify for the U16 World Cup next year.

Unfortunately, again Hunters team picking up 2nd place but was the 1st NZ U16 team to ever beat Australia in pool play.
