RIAJ 2020

Andy Jones —

RIAJ

As we all know 2020 was in the Chinese zodiac the year of the RAT.

And what a ratty year it has been but despite the trials and tribulations the boys of RIAJ have much to celebrate.

Cameron Pritchard left us to take up a motor vehicle apprenticeship.

Eli Williams left to take up a carpentry course and apprenticeship.

We welcomed some new boys to our mentor class:

Brandon Thompson(Y10) Aron Darvin(Y9)

Mitchell and Isaiah had lead roles in the production of hair spray, and it was the year that RICE house dominated the house competitions in special character week.

We started our new tradition of the rice bucket lucky dip.

Charlie Tiffen started up a clay shooting club and introduced the sport for the first time to STC.

Some RIAJ Highlights:

Mitchell, Isaiah and Cameron all played for the 3rd XI soccer team.

Dan Prescott continued to have success in athletics.

Lucas was a team leader in designing the Evolocity vehicle this year.

2020 has been a mixed year but we look forward to the holidays and next year where we will see our own Jack Walecki take up the leadership role of organizing a school council.

Good luck Jack.
