2021 Special Character Week

Riley Steel and Jarrod Gali —

This week showed how us as a school we can come together to rise as one and thrive as one.

2021 Special Character Week

Special Character Week is one of the oldest traditions at St Thomas’ and has continued to be bigger and better every year. This week is so important because as a Catholic school, we are taught and reminded of the values of Edmund Rice during Mass and contributing to help charities.

In sports games, we experience victories and losses but come together as one in the end. By singing hymnal songs of different languages and performing the haka, we show inclusivity within our school. Special Character Week represents all of these ideas through showing our culture and brotherhood.

Special Character Week in 2021 was a week full of events that had all students involved and connecting. The week of events included staff vs students in sport, fair, talent show and finishing on the Friday with Mass, haka and singing competitions.
