Last Sunday we celebrated the Mass for the Sacraments of Initiation.

The candidates have been preparing for several months through the College’s sacramental programme and Religious Education classes.

Mrs Bernie Lee (College Chaplain) and the Year 13 Leaders mentored the students as we worked closely with the staff of Christchurch West parish. Our dear friend, Fr Michael Therese Scheerger, celebrated the Mass on behalf of Bishop Michael Geilen. The College’s Special Character Team attended the Mass with representatives from our Catholic cousins: the colleges of Maria, St Bedes, Villa Maria and Catholic Cathedral.

It was truly wonderful to celebrate the Mass in the Church with the local parishioners. They cheered and clapped for our young men:

The College wishes to thank Fr Michael Therese Scheerger for his ongoing support and collaborations. We are truly blessed to have Mrs Lee on staff and we thank all the volunteers who helped along the way.

I would personally like to thank Principal, Steve Hart and Deputy Principal, Brendan Biggs for their support too.

In 2023 we’ll have a special focus on the Sacrament of Confirmation for all baptised students in Year 8 and above. Let’s chat!
