90 years of St John Youth in New Zealand

In April St John Youth held their annual National Youth Festival in celebration of 90 years of St John Youth in New Zealand. Currently at St Thomas' we have 4 St John Youth members and all of these members from St Thomas' represented the South Island at the National Competitions during the festival.

Cameron Anisy, Sean Willetts, Oscar Sergel-Stinger and Dominic Anisy were a part of a squad of 24  to compete in tests based on leadership, communication, first aid, problem-solving, teamwork and many other skills that they spent 7 training weekends working on.

St John Youth National Competitions are the highest annual competitions within the Youth Program and people who compete at these are the top cadets from every region. Every region sends a squad (24 Youth members) made up of 4x competing teams of four members including a Team Leader, 4x competing individuals and 4x competing emergencies (reserves).
