The following article outlines the students who have had their hard work rewarded with University Scholarships on leaving St Thomas in 2016. 

UNIVERSITY SCHOLARSHIPS AWARDED

These students are "Emerging Leaders", "Leaders of Tomorrow" and "Academic Students" - we will watch their future successes unfold in the years to come. Their scholarship recognises their high academic calibre and leadership qualities.

Hamish Simpson - University of Canterbury College Dux Scholarship. This scholarship is worth $6000 towards first year tuition fees. He will be studying psychology and marketing in 2017. Massey University also provided a $1000 scholarship for Young Enterprise Regional Winners for 2016.

Luke Payne - University of Canterbury Emerging Leaders' Scholarship. This scholarship is worth $6000. He will be studying commerce and management in 2017. 

Liam Robinson - University of Lincoln Future Leaders' Scholarship. This scholarship is worth a possible full fees allowance. He will be studying property and land management in 2017. 

Reuben Jeffery-Butler - University of Lincoln Future Leaders' Scholarship. This scholarship is worth a possible full fees allowance. He will be studying property and land management in 2017. 

Joseph Spijkerman - University of Victoria Achiever's Scholarship. This scholarship is worth $5000. He will be studying design innovation in 2017. 

Timothy Marshall - University of Canterbury College of Business and Law - Young Enterprise Scheme - Student of the year. This scholarship is worth $6000. He will be studying commerce, majoring in marketing in 2017. Massey University also provided a $1000 scholarship for Enterprise in Action and another $1000 for Young Enterprise Regional Winners for 2016. Tim also received a $3000 fellowship to the Singularity University in Silicon Valley USA.

Jakub Sawicki - Proxime accessit in 2016 and University of Otago - Leaders of tomorrow scholarship. This scholarship is worth $6000. He will be studying health science in 2017.  

Jakob Mangels - University of Otago - Maori and Pasifika Peoples' scholarship. This scholarship is worth $10'000. He will be studying physical education majoring in sports science and leisure in 2017.  

Tim Marshall - Massey University provided a $1000 scholarship for Young Enterprise Regional Winners for 2016. He is studying Chinese language majoring in international business at the University of Canterbury in 2017.
